Job Description
In this role as **R&D Engineer, Mechanical** , you will focus primarily on application of structural mechanics to the development and maintenance of superconducting MRI magnet products and technologies.
**Your role:**
+ Perform detailed mechanical design and analysis for superconducting MRI magnet systems, including cryogenic vessels, coil and component support structures.
+ Develop and validate structural models for static and dynamic loading conditions using advanced engineering analysis methods to assess stresses and meet allowable material limits.
+ Execute product development activities including requirements management, FMEA, risk mitigation, prototype development, verification, validation and documentation of design inputs/outputs.
+ Collaborate with external vendors and internal manufacturing teams on prototype fabrication, industrialization and qualification activities to implement new designs.
