R&D Lab Technician

About the role 

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive R&D Lab Technician to join our team in Wacol, Queensland. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for conducting research, testing, and analysis of roof tile and masonry products to relevant standards. You will also support collaborative research initiatives and contribute to the development of market-leading products. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Experimentation, testing, and analysis, aligned with achieving Brickworks business objectives.
• Research background literature to support R&D activities.
• Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished roof tiles to ensure adherence to quality standards (AS 2049).
• Conduct laboratory tests on tiles, such as strength, absorption, and dimensional accuracy, according to industry and company specifications.
