R&D Specialist (Anti-Foul coating)

Overview

The Technologist in the Fouling Control coatings R&D team will assist in creating new test methods and enhancing current ones for evaluating the performance of these coatings.

Responsibilities

• Develop fresh test methods for better understanding how Fouling Control coatings work, both Antifouling and Foul Release types.


• Find solutions to improve current test methods by gathering ideas for modifying existing designs or creating new ones.


• Grasp the engineering aspects of new equipment or processes and effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues in Akzonobel, third-party partners, and contractors.


• Understand the needs of external customers for the Fouling Control coating, and seek clarification when necessary.


• Identify potential risks and obstacles, and offer recommendations to successfully implement the new or improved test method.
