Real Estate Lawyer

We are seeking a motivated Real Estate Lawyer (minimum 2 years of Ontario real estate law experience as a licensed Ontario lawyer) to join a growing real estate practice. The successful candidate will work closely with team members on a broad range of residential real estate transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage residential real estate files from start to finish, including purchases, sales, and refinances, with assistance from law clerks and legal assistants
• Review title searches, register documents through Teraview, order title insurance policies, and prepare/review all documentation related to transactions
• Review agreements of purchase and sale, status certificates, title insurance policies, insurance binders, and other real estate-related agreements/documents
• Liaise with clients (in-person and virtual signings), lenders, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, staff members, and senior lawyers
