Real Time Trader, East
TransAlta is currently looking to hire a Real Time Trader, East, reporting directly to the Manager, East Cash & FTR Trading. This position is core to the East Short Time desk, based at our Calgary head office, full-time and office-based.
About the Role
This role requires working 11- and 8-hour shifts (7:00 am to 6:00 am starts) with additional on-call support. Shift schedule will consist of 4 days on and 4 days off (subject to change). The incumbent will manage Generation Assets in the Eastern markets (Canada & USA), provide 24/7 support, manage relationships with trading and EMA customers, deliver financial results per the annual East Short Term Trader plan, create growth opportunities, support scheduling and deal management, resolve trade or financial discrepancies, and be accountable for accurate trade execution.
