Rebar Engineer

Job Summary

The Rebar Engineer is responsible for the supervision and inspection of proper rebar installation. The position also monitors and implements compliance with the company’s safety and quality standards.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviews the structural and architectural plans as well as precast drawings.
• Ensures that controlled copies of the latest approved documents and drawings are given to the appropriate staff, subcontractors, and suppliers as applicable.
• Performs rebar requisition and ensures timely delivery on site.
• Secures approved copy of cutting list diagrams.
• Checks fabrication of materials based on measurement.
• Gives instructions to the Foreman, Leadman, Steelman on proper installation of rebar.
• Monitors the delivery of stocks of all rebar requirements with stock clerks on site.
• Evaluates and checks accomplishment based on submitted billings.
