Job description

Job Summary:

Checks, verifies, and documents incoming deliveries to ensure quantity and quality match purchase orders and store requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Receives and inspects incoming deliveries of merchandise, supplies, and materials
• Checks quantity and quality of items against purchase orders and delivery receipts
• Records discrepancies and reports damaged or missing items to supervisor.
• Coordinates with suppliers or delivery personnel for return or replacement of incorrect goods
• Ensures proper tagging, labeling, and documentation of received items
• Assists in organizing and transferring goods to proper storage or selling areas
• Maintains accurate and complete receiving logs and inventory records
• Observes store safety and cleanliness standards during receiving operations
