Recreation Aid (Lifeguard)

Summary This position is located in the Sports, Fitness, and Aquatics Branch, of the Community Services Department, Community Support, Commander Navy Region Korea. The primary purpose of this position is to function as a lifeguard responsible for safeguarding the lives of persons using the respective swimming pool to which assigned. Responsibilities Remains alert and continuously observe swimming area to ensure all water safety rules are observed by swimmers. Ensures that all swimmers in the water are accounted for at all times. Performs rescue work and when necessary, renders first aid until such time as qualified doctor or other emergency personnel are present. In case of a serious accident will call for an ambulance. Prepares complete accident report. Alerts supervisor of unusual circumstances. Ensures safety of patrons and other staff at all times.
