Recreation Assistant (Outdoor Adventure)

Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to Moody AFB Outdoor Rec. Guaranteed 20 hours, but may work up to 40 hours per week. Performs and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialists in the planning, organizing, and coordination of recurring & nonreoccurring activities Responsibilities Responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all operations of the Outdoor Adventure program (Paintball, archery, & Mission Lake) facilities. Plans, organizes & coordinates the details of recurring & nonrecurring activities & special events, to include such activities as backpacking, rockclimbing, mountaineering, fishing, white water rafting, kayaking, caving, biking etc. Assist the supervisor by implementing higher level directives, fomulating procedures & programs to ensure high standards of recreation programs.
