Reports to the Manager, Clinical Operations and works in collaboration with the Recreation Therapist in recreation program planning; implements and evaluates recreation/leisure program(s) designed to support residents’ health and well being in the care home setting. Supervises Recreation Assistants. Responsibilities In accordance with the recreation program, prepares a calendar of events, arranges outings and food preparation activities, and instructs participants in the techniques and any required adaptations of related activities to meet the needs of the resident. Determines the recreation/leisure program(s) which meet the resident's needs and abilities by reviewing the care plan, interviewing the /resident regarding their social/leisure history, and consulting with family, the Recreation Therapist, and nursing staff; identifies, evaluates, implements, and documents recreation/leisure goals and objectives based on individual interests and abilit...
