Recreation Therapist

Detailed Overview

Under the direction of the Manager, Clinical Operations, the Recreation Therapist is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of individual and group therapeutic recreation treatment interventions and programming based on the social, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs of residents. Provides clinical therapeutic assessments and considers recreation/leisure goals needs, interests and abilities of residents. Works in close collaboration with the Recreation Coordinator in program planning. Responsibilities Utilizes the philosophy and vision of the facility to plan, promote, organize, implement, and evaluate a wide range of recreation and social programs designed to meet the needs of the residents.
