Recreation Therapy Worker II

Definition of Work:

This position is primarily responsible for providing comprehensive Therapeutic Recreation Services. This dynamic individual is a member of the interdisciplinary team and will be responsible for completing leisure inventories; documentation of resident participation and progress; program planning; development, implementation and evaluation of diversified recreation participation opportunities based on the needs, skills, abilities and interests of residents; assisting with activities of daily living; and other duties as assigned. This position also assists the Primary Health Care Team to support programs for seniors in the community. Professional practice issues that arise in this position will be reported to the Regional Manager of Therapeutic Recreation Services.
