Reels Editor (Talking-Head / Personal Brand Content)

Role Overview

At Genesis, editors own the sequencing of every reel. You choose which sentences stay, which get cut, and the order the ideas appear. Your job is to take raw footage (podcast clips, YouTube videos, reel shoots, scripted talking‑head content) and turn it into a sequence that hooks fast, keeps attention, and works for both the creator’s core audience and people who have never seen them before. Every second of the reel must earn its place. You decide the pacing, the structure, and the storytelling flow. You’re not just adding captions, b‑roll, and music. You are crafting the entire piece from start to finish. If the edit wins, it’s because of your sequencing. If it loses, it’s your responsibility to fix the sequence.
