Regional Accountant

Summary

/Objective: The Regional Accountant role is responsible for full set company accounts and other administrative functions for SAMTEC ASIA PACIFIC (M) SDN BHD and all other sites as and when required by Management.Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:

Work independently on accounting and monthly close

Manage routine banking transactions, record cash/AP/AR transactions, Fixed Assets register and transations, and manual journals

Reconcile balance sheet accounts at month end

Work with external firms on management accounts, audits, tax filings and other statutory requirements

Project Lead on implementation of accounting systems, including testing transactions and follow-up

Support growth initiatives in the region from accounting/costing perspective

Assists Asia accounting team as needed or any tasks at the direction of company directors / company headquarters
