REGIONAL ENERGY MANAGER
Location: Whitby, Ontario, CA, L1N 5T1
This position is responsible for energy and related supply and services procurement for the N/E facilities of Gerdau.
NATURE AND SCOPE
The Regional Energy Manager is responsible for securing and maintaining competitive arrangements for the supply of electricity, natural gas, industrial gases, fuels, and similar supply and services necessary to meet the energy requirements of the Company’s operations in a designated geography for example North, Central, South. However the designated geographies will change as the Company’s needs change due to growth.
Qualifications for the position include a broad knowledge of energy purchasing, utility regulation, markets, prices, accounting procedures, steel manufacturing energy uses and costs, and supply sources.
