Job Summary
Provide high quality and appropriate medical nutrition therapy to patients and comply with performance standards established by regulatory agencies. Provides leadership, training, development of menus and continuous quality improvement processes for Food and Nutrition Services.
Performance: Position Specific Essential Functions
Establishes and maintains an effective program for patient screening. Accurately calculates protein and calorie requirements. Nutrition care meets cultural, religious, regional and other special needs. Accurate, timely and thorough nutrition documentation in medical records which adheres to procedures.
Collects assessment data for patients on enteral nutrition according to established protocol. Recommends standardized macronutrient/energy prescriptions and standard formula for enteral nutrition support. On physician consult request, able to write orders for enteral nutrition support.
