Unit Summary

The Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine program (HRLMP) is a collaborative program funded and operated jointly by the Hamilton Health Sciences and St. Joseph's Healthcare. The program is committed to change and innovation, through education, service and research, to bring the highest quality science into health care for the benefit of the community, and to participate in the clinical application and interpretation of the science. 

The position reports to the Special Hematology Manager or designate. The Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) is responsible for performing Hematology tests and procedures in accordance with the HRLMP policies and procedures. This testing includes but is not exclusive to: Hematology morphology, bedside BM preparation, special stains, and cell markers utilizing flow cytometry technology.
