**Department Summary**

Harborview's Medical Respite Program (Edward Thomas House Medical Respite) is a program that provides recuperative care to people experiencing homelessness who are too sick to return to the shelter or streets, but do not require a hospital level of care.

**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Screen and triage referrals from King County hospitals for Medical Respite admission
+ Coordinate with referring facilities and Respite staff to complete referral documentation
+ Determine patient eligibility for admission
+ Facilitate and coordinate patient transfers to the Respite program
