Job Summary

Mandate: The Registered Nurse (RN) is a front-line clinical leader within Student Wellness Centre (SWC) at the University of Victoria, delivering comprehensive, autonomous, and evidence-informed nursing care to a diverse and rapidly evolving student population. Operating within a provincial health care system marked by resource constraints and delayed access to community services, this role is pivotal in bridging gaps, offering accessible, culturally responsive care that supports both individual health outcomes and academic success. The RN integrates trauma-informed, harm reduction, and anti-oppressive approaches that align with UVic’s institutional priorities, including the Equity Action Plan, Indigenous Plan, and Mental Health and Wellness Framework.
