Detailed Overview

In accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards of practice and the Mission and Values of Fraser Health, and working collaboratively with the inter-professional care team in the provision of person-centered care, provides direct individualized nursing care in an outpatient setting to outpatients with varying complexities of illness requiring minor surgical procedures, diagnostic endoscopy procedures or interventional therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Assesses, plans, provides and evaluates nursing care and provides discharge teaching for patients (adults and children). Responsibilities Assesses patients and collects information from a variety of sources using skills of observation, communication, data review and physical assessment.
