Job Description
- Review and audit clinical records to ensure proper code assignment and compliance with payer policies.
- Assist in identifying coding discrepancies and recommending appropriate resolutions.
- Collaborate with providers and clinical teams to clarify documentation and coding requirements.
- Stay up to date with coding guidelines, payer rules, and industry changes.
- Provide front-line clinical support using structured scripts, protocols, and decision trees.
- Use memorized scripts to deliver accurate information consistently.
- Respond to inquiries related to procedures, coverage, documentation, and patient instructions.
- Escalate complex clinical or documentation issues to leads or appropriate departments.
- Participate in continuous training and development, including online learning modules.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in medical coding and/or clinical support.
