Overview

Operating within the Seniors, Emergency, and Community Medicine Program, the CTU Medicine F5 is a clinical teaching unit that cares for patients with responsible medical conditions. The interdisciplinary care team supports a primarily geriatric patient population with multi-system chronic illnesses.

Responsibilities

As a valued member of the Acute Medicine healthcare team, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides leadership in the coordination of nursing care for patients with multisystem medical conditions including Diabetes, Dementia, Stroke and Acute Coronary syndromes. In collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team and community agencies, the RN provides compassionate and dedicated quality care for patients and their families. In accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario standards and HHS’ mission, vision and values, the RN improves the health of our patients through evidence-based clinical practice in healthcare delivery.
