**SUMMARY:** Functions as the RN Care Manager in the Operating Room sharing accountability with other Care Managers on all
shifts to assist patient/families in achieving outcomes. Together with the health care team manages the continuity of
care, negotiates, directs and provides patient care services. Additionally, facilitates patient movement through the
perioperative experience. Under general direction of the surgeon, provides direct patient care as a first assistant
during surgical intervention.
