Utilizes the nursing process to coordinate the interdisciplinary approach to patient care. He/she provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way and integrates knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families through the continuum of care. The RN collaborates with others to integrate assessment and input of the patient, family and the interdisciplinary team and ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development in life-long learning.
