**Job Description:**

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.
_We are a 14-bed community Intensive Care Unit. We see a wide variety of critical patients both medical as well as surgical. Our patient population includes, though is not limited to, cardiac, respiratory, sepsis, surgeries, renal, GI, psych, DKA and infectious disease processes. We are a smaller unit that fosters a strong team culture. We strive to provide a culture of healing for our patients as well as create a unit that engages employees and encourages their personal growth and development. The ratio is 2:1._
