Registered Nurse - Post Anesthetic Care Unit, DTC Surgical Suite

Working with surgery patients during the post-anesthetic phase, the incumbent performs a variety of nursing duties by administering safe and effective nursing care according to hospital policies and nursing care standards. The incumbent must demonstrate a professional, positive attitude. Excellent communication, teaching, organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills are required. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the incumbent must have the ability to recognize and assist with management of post anesthesia/surgical problems. The DTCOR Post Anesthetic Care Unit provides post-anesthesia care to high acuity patients who have undergone a variety of major surgeries including General, Neuro, Orthopedic, Trauma, Plastic, Oral-Maxillofacial, Urology, and Thoracic surgery as elective and emergency cases.
