Contract: Fixed term parental leave cover, full time - Rostered and Rotating

About the Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) role is to meet the needs of people and whanau accessing our services using contemporary nursing care which is safe, appropriate and effective. The care is based on comprehensive assessment, ensures continuity, and is person/whānau centred, culturally appropriate and evidence-based. Quality improvement and patient safety is an important part of this role.

As a team member, you will play a critical role in assisting with a range of surgical procedures performed under local and regional anaesthesia, and sedated procedures.

• Prepare the patient for surgery
• Assist the surgeon during the procedure
• Support and monitor the patient
• Ensure a safe and efficient environment
