Registered Nurse Women's General Forensic Unit (Toronto)

Responsibilities

• Provide client-centered psychiatric and nursing care to individuals from diverse cultural and social backgrounds
• Conduct comprehensive physical, mental status, and behavioural assessments
• Develop, implement, and evaluate inter‑professional plans of care for clients with complex mental health, addiction, forensic, and/or age-related needs
• Monitor client responses to pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions
• Support clients with severe and persistent mental illness, concurrent disorders, and psychosocial rehabilitation needs
• Apply critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills in dynamic and high-acuity situations
• Utilize crisis intervention, de‑escalation, and emergency psychiatry principles
