About the Role

Care Capacity Demand Management (CCDM) & Variance Response Management (VRM) Resource Permanent Pool – This role supports better health outcomes for our patients at Nelson Hospital. You will work mornings, afternoons, and nights across a variety of wards and units on a rostered rota.

Responsibilities

• Respond to the acute needs of wards and departments by assessing consumer health needs.
• Provide quality care, advice and support to consumers to manage their own health.
• Practice both independently and in collaboration with nursing colleagues and other health professionals.
• Work across multiple wards, units and shifts at Nelson Hospital.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years post‑registration general surgical/medical/acute care nursing experience.
• Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with a current NZNC registration and practising certificate.
