Job Description

Duties:
Provide physicians with diagnostic information in accordance with the Standards of Practice of the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario, the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists and/or the Canadian Association of Cardio-Pulmonary Technologists and applicable legislation.
Perform duties based on current Pulmonary Diagnostic theory and practice and in accordance with established SAH standards.
Perform duties associated with the clinical supervision and evaluation of respiratory therapy students during their Pulmonary Function rotation.
Select, advise on purchase and operate Pulmonary Function devices to provide safe and effective diagnostic procedures.
Evaluate and monitor equipment performance to determine its ongoing effectiveness, accuracy, precision and consistency with the goals of the Pulmonary Function Laboratory.
