Registrar in Palliative Care

<p></p> <p>The successful candidate will be joining a medical team of 2 consultants, 2 Registrars and a GP Trainee (SHO). The registrars all rotate through Inpatient unit/Community team/Hospital team every 2-3 months. They provide 1:4 first on call cover OOH and at weekends.</p> <ul> <li>Donegal Hospice which is located in Letterkenny is an 8-bedded unit (single rooms). The inpatient-based registrar is expected to do daily medical reviews of all the patients under the supervision of the consultant and as part of the multi-professional team.</li> <li>There is a Community Palliative Care team covering the entire county of Donegal. This team includes 7WTE Clinical Nurse Specialists. The community-based registrar will do home visits and conduct outpatient clinics for those patients well enough to attend.</li>...
