Regular Instructor, Human Services Education Assistant/Community Support – Indigenous Focus

Position Summary

Applications are invited from qualified individuals to instruct in the Human Services (HSW) Education Assistant/Community Support – Indigenous Focus Certificate program at the North Island College.


The regular instructional assignment involves teaching theory and practice courses to a cohort of HSW students using a face-to-face and blended delivery method at the Port Alberni campus.

The Education Assistant/Community Support Worker – Indigenous Focus Certificate falls under North Island College’s “Special Programs – Exclusive hiring of Indigenous Candidates for Indigenous Faculty”

NOTE: Practicum placements will take place in both community as well as in elementary/secondary education settings and may require travel. Applicants need to have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
