About the role

We are seeking Certified Inpatient (CCS/CIC) Medical Coders to join the Shearwater Health team. This is a full-time, remote role, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

As a Certified Inpatient Medical Coder, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and compliant medical coding for our healthcare clients.

What you'll be doing

• Accurately code inpatient medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Review medical documentation to identify the correct diagnostic and procedural codes
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies
• Maintain detailed records and adhere to coding guidelines and regulations
• Provide regular reports on coding productivity and quality metrics
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with coding changes and best practices
