Research and Development Assistant

Job Summary

The R&D Assistant supports the Research and Development team in developing, testing, and improving paint and coating formulations. The role involves laboratory work, sample preparation, testing, documentation, and coordination with QA/QC and Production to ensure product quality and innovation.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of paint formulations, lab batches, and test samples
• Conduct basic laboratory tests (viscosity, density, pH, gloss, drying time, adhesion, color matching)
• Prepare test panels and perform application tests (brush, roller, spray)
• Accurately record test results and observations in R&D logs and databases
• Support R&D Chemists in trials, experiments, and product improvement projects
• Handle, label, and store raw materials and chemicals properly
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the R&D laboratory
