Research Assistant

SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator and the Senior Research Project Director, the Research Assistant (RA) will conduct specific assigned research and programmatic activities associated with various clinical and public health projects. Projects will include those related to HIV prevention, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and substance use. The RA will interact directly with patients and may also provide services include working with the individual to overcome common barriers in the healthcare system such as applying for financial assistance, addressing costnsurance concerns, providing transportation vouchers, or addressing other barriers to engaging in STI care and substance use or mental health treatment.The RA will work to support clinical and community-based activities in concordance with statewide efforts to reduce HIV and STI incidence, including prevention, detection, and retention in care.
