Research Associate in Tissue Immunology

A Research Associate position is available in the laboratory of Professor Jessica Strid in the Department of Immunology and Inflammation at the Imperial College Hammersmith campus.

In this Research Associate post you will work on an exciting new research project investigating how ‘allergic’ type 2/IgE responses in the skin links to the peripheral nervous system and regulate inflammation and cancer immune-surveillance. You will also study whether this skin/brain axis dictates behaviour. This is part of a larger research programme in the Strid Lab which focus on skin immune-surveillance.

The skin has an active tissue-specific local immune system and is the largest and most innervated organ in our body. You will be exploring links between the skin immune system and the peripheral nervous system, for the control of sensory signals affecting nociception and inflammation.
