Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Be involved in a vibrant team leading the development of ocean and coastal modelling capabilities, including:
  • Development of high-resolution coastal models for the regional and local waters using DELFT3D-FM/MIKE; and/or

  • Development of high-resolution ocean circulation models for the regional waters using NEMO; 

  • Development of relevant tools, techniques, and methodologies, such as data assimilation, data-driven models and Bayesian networks. 

  • Working together with a research team carrying out projects related to the development of models for forecasting and prediction of the metocean environment.

  • Undertake management of project tasks and produce the deliverables within the agreed parameters in an appropriate format, to ensure that relevant project tasks are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
