Research Fellow (InVEST project)

EOS is a University Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University dedicated to fundamental research on earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, and climate change in and around Southeast Asia. Its mission is to contribute to safer and more sustainable societies through scientific excellence and impactful research.

EOS seeks a Research Fellow to work on using dense seismic arrays and emerging sensing technologies, particularly distributed acoustic sensing (DAS), for earthquake source processes and fault structure characterisation.
 

The candidate will work under the supervision of Asst Prof Voon Hui Lai and will collaborate with the researchers from the ‘Integrating Volcano and Earthquake Science and Technology (InVEST) in Southeast Asia’ project that aims to provide a holistic understanding of regional tectonics, volcanoes, the linkages between the two, and their cascading hazards and impacts in Singapore and Southeast Asia. The candidate will join a large...
