About us 

Data science is a core enabler of modern biomedical and translational research, where data across multiple modalities are generated at unprecedented scale. The Research Data Integration Group at the Bioinformatics Institute (BII), A*STAR focuses on bridging computational biology and data science with the needs of biologists and clinicians to drive biological discovery and translational impact. 

Our work centres on the analysis, integration, and stewardship of large-scale multimodal datasets, including experimental, multi-omics, imaging, clinical, and bioprocessing data generated by A*STAR institutes, healthcare partners, and national initiatives in Singapore. A key objective is to improve the findability, accessibility, interoperability, and usability of complex datasets derived from patient samples, model systems, and biomanufacturing processes.
