Luke is seeking a Doctoral Researcher for a fixed‑term position. We offer an opportunity for an article‑based PhD on the topic of performance‑based policy instruments in the context of cost‑efficient reduction of nutrient loading.
Job description
The Doctoral Researcher’s tasks include the development and application of both analytical and numerical models. The models developed and applied in the position will address nutrient cycling (nitrogen and phosphorus) as part of the economic optimisation of agricultural production, from both the perspectives of firms and a societal regulator. In particular, the work aims to analyse the effectiveness of existing performance based policy instruments and to develop new results‑oriented environmental policy approaches suitable for managing agricultural nutrient flows.
