Research scientist in Isotope Geochemistry

Position

Research scientist in Isotope Geochemistry at the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK), located in Espoo, Finland.

Responsibilities

• Independently carry out analytical workflows and develop isotope geochemistry methods.
• Handle data and perform cross‑validation, QA/QC and interpretation related to research applications.
• Present research findings at conferences, workshops and client meetings.
• Publish results in high‑quality peer‑reviewed scientific journals.

Qualifications and Experience

• Ph.D. in geology or geochemistry, or in another relevant field.
• Previous work experience in relevant tasks.
• Knowledge of the principles of isotope geochemistry and geochronology.
• Hands‑on experience in ICP mass spectrometry and laser ablation technology.
• Competence in research project work and/or project management.
