The research group of Prof. Ingyin Zaw at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking to add a Research Scientist in Extragalactic Astronomy to study the impact Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) have on their host galaxies. Applicants with a background analyzing and interpreting astrophysical data, in particular the statistical analysis of data obtained by large surveys, are encouraged to apply. Research in the Prof. Zaw’s group focuses AGN activity and feedback which are critical components of current theories of galaxy evolution. Project include collaborations with researchers in Physics program and Center for Astrophysics and Space Science (CASS) at NYU Abu Dhabi, as well as researchers at the Center for Cosmology and Particle Physics (CCPP) at NYU New York.
