We are currently looking for an experienced Technician to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This role will contribute to a research program aimed at understanding the causes and mechanisms of Motor Neuron Disease. You will be responsible for research support, including experimentation, training, and administration.

Ngā Haepapa Matua | Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Act as the laboratory technician supporting research studies in the lab
• Carry out, and train postgraduate students to carry out, experiments on human brain tissue and/or cultured cells
• Ensure all materials and equipment are purchased, stocked, and maintained appropriately
• Maintain lab records including budget-keeping
• Understand and comply with specific legal and regulatory requirements of the lab generally
