Looking for hands-on Anaesthetic experience in a supportive team?
Head Medical is seeking post-foundation doctors with 12 months’ Anaesthetics/ICU experience to join Whangārei Hospital, a teaching hospital in sub-tropical Northland. You’ll be part of a team of eight resident doctors, with excellent teaching, audit, and professional development opportunities.
12-month contract (commencing May or August 2026)
Salary: $101,492 – $136,959 NZD per annum

The Role
The hospital is a 246-bed regional facility providing secondary care to a population of approximately 194,000, with flight retrievals and helicopter transfers giving exposure to a broad range of presentations, including paediatrics and major trauma.
