Under the general supervision of the Clinical Practice Chief, Respiratory Services, and being administratively accountable to the Manager, Health Services; performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory therapy; assists with in-services/education and provides input into program development at Langley Memorial Hospital. Responsibilities Performs diagnostic and therapeutic assessments, interventions and follow-ups as related to Respiratory Therapy such as assisting with cardiopulmonary resuscitation and support, initiating/maintaining mechanical ventilatory support of adults, children and infants, providing airway management, patient evaluation and daily care of patients as prescribed and documents same. Provides family, patient and staff education, which may include participating in established education programs.
