Restaurant Cashier

A restaurant cashier operates a cash register, communicates with customers, and assists other restaurant staff as needed. Responsibilities in this career can include processing credit card payments, accepting cash payments and making change, and using a point of sale (POS) system for transactions and wide knowledge of the menu and sales policies. It is the duty of the restaurant cashier to reconciling the money in a cash register after the shift is over is one of the key duties of a cashier in a restaurant.
