Long Term Care Nurse
This is a 13-week contract position.
Varied shift scheduling of 8-hour shifts: Days 0730 - 1530, Evenings 1500 - 2330, and Nights 2300 - 0730. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required, and overtime rotation may be necessary. There is no guarantee of hours or shift preference.
The Long Term Care Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in a long-term care facility located on the site of a hospital. This role includes performing assessments, administering treatments and medications, and notifying the Medical Doctor or Nurse Practitioner of any pertinent information. Additionally, the nurse will assist with admitting and discharging patients, provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), and manage specialized care such as gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter care, nebulizer treatments, wound vac care, and CPAP care.
