Roading Projects Engineer

About the Role

The purpose of this position is to undertake roading capital projects as directed by the Roading Projects Team Leader. This includes delivery of approved capital works in accordance with the Long-Term Plan and Annual Plan, ensuring projects are completed to required standards, within budget, programme, and safety requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Manage roading projects.
• Review, agree and define project scopes and objectives.
• Produce design and draughting for various projects.
• Produce reporting as required.
• Develop project solutions, systems and processes for the Council.
• Resource budgets from other organisations when working on joint ventures.
• Supervise and coordinate contractors.
• Ensure contracts are only let to approved service providers.
• Perform regular health and safety and work quality audits.
