Primary Position Purpose

We are currently seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer located on our Mtentu Bridge project.

Key Responsibilities

• The ARE will be responsible for the following elements of the construction works under his/her responsibility, but is not limited to the following.
• Assist with contract administration for this project.
• Review construction drawings and manage the process of dealing with Contractor queries by liaising with the designers through the required communication lines.
• Inspect works and test results for quality control.
• Prepare and update estimates to completion.
• Maintain records of site administration and communication in terms of SMEC’s quality management system and Construction Manual.
