Robotic Design Engineer

General Key Responsibilities (Applicable across all specializations):

Lead the conceptual and detailed mechanical design of specific robotic components (upper limbs, hands, or body structure).

Develop 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings using industry-standard software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360).

Conduct kinematic, dynamic, and structural analysis to optimize component performance, strength, and dexterity.

Perform simulations (e.g., using ROS, Gazebo, MATLAB/Simscape, Adams) to validate designs, predict behavior, and identify potential issues before physical prototyping.

Select appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and components for optimal performance, weight, and cost.

Oversee the prototyping and assembly of robotic components, working closely with manufacturing and external vendors.
